How it Works
Prospective bidders must first register an account with us and may then buy a quantity of prepaid bids for use later when they find an item on which they would like to bid.
A typical auction will last for a minimum of 24 hours, but it is in the dying minutes that all the thrills begin!
Contenders now use some of their pre-purchased bids in an attempt to be the last person to place a bid before the automatic countdown timer closes the auction.
The purchase price of an auction item will increase by small, standard increments that often amount to just a few cents whenever a new bid is placed. Each new bid will also result in a stated number of seconds being added to the continuing countdown and will thus allow an opportunity for a further bid from anyone quick enough to beat the time limit.
The winner of an auction will then need to pay the closing bid price to complete the deal and arrange delivery. Thus, the total price paid for the item will amount to the value of the pre-paid bids used plus the purchase price and delivery charge. Together this invariably represents a big discount on the recommended selling price of the item.
